You know that moment when you hear something so obvious, but so profound, you can’t unhear it?
That was me last week listening to Alex Hormozi on My First Million promoting his book launch, while flying cross-country with my 6-month-old (who, miracle of miracles, slept the whole way 🙌). In one of the episodes, Hormozi shared what he believes is the secret behind his strategy to build a cult-like following: copying Martha Stewart.
Yup, Martha freaking Stewart.
But hear him (& me) out...
He said the reason she earned such an insanely loyal audience so quickly was because she gave people simple, easy-to-follow recipes that delivered fast, impressive results. Think: "Wow, I just followed simple step-by-step instructions to make this dinner party dish and everyone thought I was amazing!" That little dopamine hit anchored her brand (& recipes) to that result.
💡 Hormozi's thesis? Give people an easy, repeatable win, & they’ll come back forever.

So what’s your Martha Stewart recipe?
For me, it got me thinking about those live talks I used to give at conferences… where I’d walk through 5 marketing hacks slide-by-slide. They were Martha-style: “Step 1, use this tool. Step 2, plug in this ad copy. Step 3, deploy it like this.” Every single time, people would come up to me after and say it was the best session of the conference.
Why? Because they left knowing exactly what to do next.
I think a lot of entrepreneurs get caught up in hot takes and POV content. But the truth? People don’t want your takes or complicated processes for crazy amazing results. They want your templates & guides to quick wins.
Give them a clear, quick win, and they’ll trust you to deliver the next one too.
So whether you’re in B2B or B2C, here's the formula:
Identify the band-aid, the quick fix that solves a small but annoying problem.
Package it into a simple, step-by-step process.
Post it on social or your newsletter
Help someone get a win today.
Make sure they know it came from you.
The goal isn't to impress. The goal is to transfer credit for the result. So next time they want another win, guess who they come back to?
