🔘 The Google Money Button

Since ecom & lead relaunching my ad agency, no strategy has delivered bigger wins for us than this one. Why? Because it just makes sense from a consumer psychology perspective. The goal is simple: make it as easy as possible for highly-qualified prospects to find exactly what they are looking for and take the next step.

I call it:

The Google Money Button

and I’m not holding anything back! This exact strategy has helped one client we launched just 2.5 weeks ago, lower their Cost per Lead Generated from Google Ads by 50% on $10k/mo in ad spend (literally 2X'ing their qualified lead volume from the same ad spend), and another client generate 6 closed deals in their first 30 days with it.

So, without further ado, here’s exactly how you can implement it internally:

🐟 Step 1: Fish Where The Fish Actually Are

Most advertisers chase broad, lazy keywords.

“Marketing agency”
“Sleep gummies”
“Best CRM”

Why does this rarely work? Everybody and their mother is bidding on them and they indicate someone is researching for a solution, not actively in the market to buy!

Instead, some of our best-performing campaigns for clients are built around hyper-relevant, lower-volume, long-tail searches. These keywords may not deliver massive traffic volume, but they often deliver dramatically stronger buyer intent.

Think about it. Someone searching:

“Marketing agency” "Social content creator campaigns"

“Sleep gummies” → “Better sleep during menopause”

“Best CRM” → “Best flat fee CRM for new realtors”

The searches in bold usually indicate the searcher knows exactly what they want.

And what everyone forgets when running Google Ads is that high intent = higher conversion rates, lower Cost Per Acquisition, and for lead gen, easier sales calls!

Great Google Ads campaigns are not always about finding more fish.

They’re about shooting fish already swimming in the barrel.

📝 Step 2: Create The Matching Landing Page

This is where 99% of ad accounts my team audits leave the most amount of money on the table.

If someone searches for a very specific solution, clicks an ad that mirrors that language, but then lands on a generic homepage… they will immediately leave your website, and you just wasted $ paying Google to send them to your website.

Instead, we build dedicated Unbounce landing pages for each keyword group.

Now, before you picture some ugly spammy landing page from 2015, that’s not what I mean. I have a dedicated person on my team, Ady, whose sole full-time job is to rebuild the brand & experience of your website, pixel for pixel, in Unbounce so it feels like an extension of the main website:

• Same branding
• Same trust-building elements
• Same videos and design language
• Just a more relevant destination

If someone searches “Best flat fee CRM for new realtors” and lands on a page that says exactly that in the headline, we are immediately reinforcing that they came to the right place. Continuity matters way more in marketing than we realize!

Sometimes just changing the headline to better match the keyword they typed in and not really changing much of the rest of the page, resulting in a 50% decrease in cost per acquisition. It's not meaningful, and no one does it! But we do it for our clients 😉

👊 Step 3: The Second Punch

Now here’s the underrated part.

Custom landing pages do not just improve conversion rates.

They also improve Google Ads Quality Score.

Google rewards relevance, so when the:

• Keyword
• Ad copy
• Landing page

… all align together, campaigns often earn cheaper clicks while simultaneously converting more traffic. That’s the second, punch. The perfectly matching headline increases the conversion rate of the landing page and improves the Google Ad quality score. Oftentimes, people mention on their intro call with me, that their current agency has never even brought up Google ads quality score. Who doesn’t want:

Better conversion rates and lower acquisition costs?!

This is why we continue building siloed landing experiences despite the additional work involved, at no extra cost to our clients. The entire journey should feel continuous instead of disconnected.
