My Tweet Went Viral (3.6m views)

As mentioned a few months ago, I’ve started sending ad-partner-free Wednesday afternoon sends when there are my own opportunities & insights worth sharing outside of our normal Growth Hacks Weekly. Here are 3 for this week:

1 - ⏰ Last Opportunity To Win $500 (here)

This is the last week to fill out our Q3 audience survey for a chance to win a $500 Amazon gift card! It takes less than 2 minutes and you would really be helping is out so please, if you haven’t already, fill it out here

2- 🤯 My Tweet Went Viral (3.6m views)

(tap pic to view)

On Friday I tweeted Nike’s new Olympic commercial and it went viral to the tune of 3.6m views, 24k likes, and 11k bookmarks, & 3k new followers…

However, I didn’t give any context as to why I believe this is a marketing master class, until now… just for my newsletter subscriber 😘

  1.  Grabs attention: It’s contrarian, linking winning with negative traits making viewers question what it means to be a champion.

💡Insight: Contrarian content, in an ad or a tweet, has a lasting impact

  2. Familiar Voice: By using Willem Dafoe as the narrator, it immediately feels familiar and taps into nostalgia, something lots of successful brands are tapping into these days.

💡Insight: Adding nostalgia, be it in your ads or content, will subliminally make people feel more comfortable with you brand because it feels familiar

  3. Connects with driven viewers: Speaks to those who crave victory, showing Nike as a brand that supports their relentless pursuit of athletic goals.

💡Insight: If that’s you, this ad subliminally reminds you that wearing Nike signals to yourself and the world that you are like the athletes in the spot. Nike is an ally.

3 - 🍕 NYC’s Best Pizza?

“If you want to understand more about marketing efforts and what can actually be successful and what you should do, @MarketingMax will get you where you want to be, you should certainly come to an event!” -Jeremy Fremont, Director of Biz Dev, Multidots & Attendee of my last event in February

More than 100+ people showed up in person to my last event in NYC and walked away with a treasure box of my strategies to grow their biz faster, just like Jeremy said above! The good news? I’m hosting another event in August!

It will be more of a workshop style for companies that need more leads, and yes… there will be plenty of NYC’s best pizza for lunch 🙂 Show up to find out which spot it is and grow your leads, a true win-win!

Thanks!
