🚀 This Week’s Growth Hack: The 3 Ways You Should Be Repurposing Content

I read this crazy stat yesterday that 46% of marketers pointed to content repurposing as the best content marketing strategy for the best results. With budgets being tightened in marketing departments big and small, many marketers I speak to are finding that repurposing content saves them the BIG BUCKS it takes to create new good quality content. And it’s less-time consuming.

Saving time and money? A win-win.

But I feel like “content repurposing” is one of those things everyone talks about and never really does. So I wanted to detail the 3 clever ways my clients and followers are repurposing content:

1 - Transform your Blog Posts, White papers, and Guides into Engaging Videos 

You know that white paper that is 20 pages long and took thousands of dollars to create? Especially that one you made last year and did nothing with? Well. That could be a video. And the same goes for your blog posts, guides, and other gated content. They could all be videos to be shared on social, your website, or even in emails!

The best part? 92% of marketers have seen a good ROI from creating video. An all-time high.

There are plenty of services that will do this for you! All you have to do is send them a link and they’ll do the rest 🙂 

2 - Create Videos For Different Target Segments

My buddy runs a content repurposing agency and said that most of his clients forget that they have multiple target audiences. You can take a previously written blog article, change a few words at the start, and with some text animation, really connect with a core target audience way more than the title of a blog article.

For example, if your blog article is titled “Proving Your Company’s Data Is Safe” … you could create one video but make multiple variations where the first thing people see in the video is “How We Keep Agencies’ Data Safe” and “How We Keep Marketing Team’s Data Safe” and “How We Keep Sales Team’s Data Safe” without needing to create multiple blog articles…

Now your team has a custom video to send to each prospect and your website has custom videos for each of your target audience’s landing pages! All because you repurposed an old blog into sexy new video assets.

3 - Create an explainer video highlighting what’s on your page

An explainer video at the top of your page? Why? Because adding visuals to the information you share increases the chances of your audience remembering your brand by 65%. Think about it, would you rather watch a 60 second Tik Tok or read a long twitter thread?

I thought so... Stop explaining complex topics with words! Try explainer videos to convey complex topics, share the story of your brand, and so much more.

Many of my best SaaS and agency clients have a 60 or 90 second explainer video as the first thing people see when they land on the website!
