🚀 This Week's Growth Hack: 

Turning $3k into $108k

I just came across the story of a brand that turned $3k of Facebook ads into $108,000 in booked revenue and knew I had to share it with you all as this week’s Growth Hack!

The brand was a family photo gallery in St. George, Utah that sells holiday card photos and the likes.

Instead of simply running ads saying “Need family engagement photos / holiday photos / baby photos … ? We got you!” They created an ads funnel that tapped into some serious marketing magic:

  1. An under-appreciated audience

  2. A sense of urgency & scarcity

  3. Low-lift lead nurturing

Here’s how they did it step by step:

An Under-Appreciated Audience 🌟

Out of all the potential customers of a photo studio, they conceptualized an offer that celebrated the strength, wisdom, and beauty of women 50+ years old. I don’t think you need research to know that women over the age of 50 don’t get the spotlight they deserve (but if you want the source it’s here).

So by creating an offer that celebrated this under-appreciated target customer audience with an “experience” … it flipped it from “Hey come buy a photo” to “Hey come feel better about yourself and finally celebrate your age!”

A Sense of Urgency & Scarcity 

They started their ad with the tagline “We are inviting 50…” which is great on two fronts:

  1. It creates scarcity by saying this experience is limited to only 50 potential customers so subconsciously telling ad viewers to act fast

  2. I’ve written about this before but the word “invite” or “inviting” is just magic because it subconsciously makes people feel special like a VIP

Low-Lift Lead Nurturing 🌱

After a lead completed the landing page form, they were automatically put into an automated follow-up sequence in GoHighLevel with email and SMS nurturing them to eventually book a session. This automation not only ensured no lead was missed, but was actually what pushed most of the bookings.

The whole strategy came together for me when I saw the ad:

No matter what you sell, we can all take a lesson from this photo studio! What is a unique marketing “offer” you can make to an under-appreciated target customer that reframes it from “buy this” to “celebrate with us” ???

Something you can offer that gets a specific group of audience to say “Finally! Something for me! This is something I’ve wanted for a long time!”
