Most voice-to-text dictations annoy me because they transcribe everything word-for-word. I don’t need my clients and team reading every ‘um’ and ‘yeah, so’ that I say. And then when I have to go through the transcript and delete them myself, it defeats the whole purpose.

♻️ What's Your Repeatable Hook?!
👉 I’ve been obsessed with this guy on TikTok lately… @brokebackcontessa
For months, every single video started with:
"I'm opening a high-end grocer in Tribeca (NYC) and…"
…followed by whatever update he had that day: hiring a butcher, testing out tile samples, trying $11 tahini…
He posted the same intro daily. That was the hook. And it worked. People followed just to see what happened next. He built a following of over 100,000 people. And when the doors finally opened? Many of those 100,000 formed a line around the block.
While everyone else saw some catchy opener, I saw that hook for what it really was: a growth hack in disguise.
By repeating the same story intro, over and over, he:
Became the guy opening a high-end grocer in Tribeca. It was easy for followers to describe and share: “Have you seen the guy doing the grocery store in Tribeca?”
Made content creation brain-dead simple. How many times have you woken up and thought, "What am I gonna post today?" Well, this guy wakes up every day & just started with his hook and plugged in the latest update.
Built a story arc. Everyone loves a story. He didn’t need to ask for followers. People followed to see how it would end.
This same thing works everywhere: TikTok, LinkedIn, email, IG, YouTube Shorts. Want proof? Look at Adam Robinson on Linkedin . Every post starts with:
"I run a 3-person, bootstrapped & profitable $6M/year AI software business…"
That hook pulls people in every time.
So what’s the Growth Hack, Max?
Find your hook. Repeat it. And finally build a following around it.
I did this by accent! Early last year, I started tweeting our newsletter ad sales for the week every single Friday at noon, always with the same kind of template:

… and I can't tell you how many friends commented to me that they either loved the line, or loved & introduced me as the guy who says "Build your list people." … if I was going to be known for something, that's not a bad thing to be known for, but I didn't even realize what I was executing this week's Growth Hack!
🔧 How to Find Your Repeatable Hook (in 3 Steps):
What’s your identity project?
What are you building / selling / solving / learning that other people might want to follow along with?
→ “I’m building a no-code AI tool for real estate agents.”
→ “I run a one-woman newsletter biz that just hit 10k subs.”
→ “I’m trying to land my first 10 SaaS clients with $0 ad spend.”Add context or flavor.
Where are you doing it? What’s unique about your background or your approach?
→ “I’m launching a parenting app from a cabin in Vermont.”
→ “I run a 2-person agency from Mexico City that just hit $25k/month.”Repeat it every time.
Every LinkedIn post, every Instagram reel, every email newsletter. Start with that line. It anchors your story. It reminds people who you are. And it makes them want to follow your journey.
This week, your challenge is simple:
Write your hook once. Then use it in every piece of content you publish this week.
You’ll be amazed at how much easier content gets to write, and how many more people remember you.
